Thank you to all of you who came out and saw the projects. To those of you who couldn’t, I tried to get a picture of everyone so you could see your child and their project. Everyone sure did a really good job, I’m really proud of everyone and all the hard work they did. Thanks again for your support in this project, we had a lot of fun researching and learning about what animals need to survive!

In reading, we’ve been finding text evidence and making inferences about information that we have read. Today they rocked the socks of fighting text evidence as they work together in groups to pull the information from text. This is a skill we’ve been using on Epic to write our reports.
I couldn’t take pictures but one of the aids did!! These are the ones she got of my class. It was an eventful day. Thanks for all your support. The time for pledges has been extended a week! So we can still earn prizes on our pledge-o-meter! We just earned crazy hair day for Thursday 11/8!! Today we got to have a picnic outside for lunch! Thank you for all you do for our school! Here is a picture of the handout sent home today.
They will be using non fiction books on Epic to do research! You can help them get ahead if you’d like and search the animal they pick on Epic and even read a few books together! That could be their 20 min of reading. Remeber how to get on Epic is under the tab 2nd grade and educational links. There is a page with all their logins. Remember, like I said at ILPs, my email is conveniently there for a reason. ;) Here is the diorama definition from Google. di·o·ram·anoun
If you google diorama there’s some great picture ideas online. They can be made out of a shoe box, pizza box, any box/open faced cotsiner, please make sure it fits on their desk, try not to do something that would take up more than one of their desks but big enough of coarse that it’s easy for the viewer to see the display Message me on Dojo for questions. |
